PRAY FOR OUR NATION AND OUR LEADERS
It is hard to believe it but back to school means back to normal. Iwas talking to a fellow member and they actually said, "I cant wait for our life to slow down when school starts." I was in total agreement. Though I'm not sure the "back-to-school" schedule becomes less busy, it just seems that way. The difference is time becomes more regimented. A routine is established. Boundary lines are set and it seems to make life more manageable.
At St. Paul, our schedule becomes routine as well. Bible studies begin again, Sunday Morning schedules become more regimented, Wednesday Night Suppers have begun, and a host of other ministries resume from summer break. With this perceived normalcy of time and calendar, I want to highlight two possibilities for you to consider:
Wednesday Night Suppers at 5:45 pm This is a perfect opportunity to fulfill the fellowship need of our life. We are relational beings and operate best when we are together.
Two Bible Studies on Wednesday Nights Beginning September 5, immediately after supper (at 6:20 pm), there will be two studies offered so that we can grow together. One study group will meet in the Fellowship Hall, while the other will be offered by Rev. John Fugh, Jr. in the Wilson Library. Both of these will be excellent times to learn and grow in faith.
I hope to see you there.

*The Minister: Let Us Unite in the Historic Confession of the Christian Church
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
*The Gloria Patri
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.
The Call to Prayer
Take this moment to prepare to speak to the One who is more focused upon our hearts than upon our words. One who is more committed to us and our souls well being than we are to our bodys comforts and pleasures. One who has shown us by the passion of our Lord Jesus Christ the seriousness with which He makes our appointment. The only One who loves us just because His love is greater than our sin. Free yourself in these moments from your fear-filled secrets by prayerfully confessing them in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
