Winter is Nigh.
By Pierre Sur-coraislamy Scrivener to the Court of the Duc de Rheged .
The land grows colder
And so here we are. Some six months on from the start of our
noble Chronicle the last month of the campaign season and the
last opportunity for the noble Lords of this fair land to stem the
advance of Chaos. Alas it would seem that our rulers were
more interested in expanding their empires and furthering their
own aims than forging a holy war against the tainted creatures
of the North. The Fair land of Eden lies devastated and
desecrated, the deaths of so many innocents as yet unavenged.
Surely our noble Lords must see the danger they create by
allowing these foul fiends to continue. Let us hope and pray
that the gods can move our leaders over winter to cleanse our
fair lands, ready for us to continue the exploration of this
continent and its islands.
As winter approaches it is time to now look to our internal
issues and prepare our forces for the coming season.

The Rhegedian Chronicle 2
The Bretonnians at War
The Great Game
By Pierre Sur-coraislamy Scrivener to the Court of the Duc de Rheged.
A treatise on the movements of the armies
of Rheged.
The Minions of Chaos
The hordes of Chaos continue to blunder around blindly,
having little stomach for a fight. Still reeling from the
devastation wrought by the Dragons last month Brynar theCorrupted led his bedraggled forces back to the Altar of
Decay, perhaps in the hope that his Patron would grant him
some respite from his injuries. To the North the “Blood
Lord” failed to take any decisive action and as such wasted
the remains of his supplies in a fruitless attempt to track
down the by now infamous Ai Tich Hoo and his Lizardmen.
With Winter now rapidly approaching it seems that the
forces of Chaos have lost some of their initial vigour.
Perhaps the scouring by the Dragons has shaken their
belief in their invincibility and as such they now fear their
own mortality? Only time will tell.
The Noble Armies of Caer Curwen
The Knights and Men at Arms of Caer Curwen spent
most of this month consolidating and preparing for winter.
A new Barony was created within the hinterlands to be
known as Brigham. It is ruled by Baron Maxwell,
Castellan of Castel Lorton. So far Snazzgit Stunty
Stompa has failed to take any action over the Bretonnians
usurpation of his control in this area.
The Throng of Karak Jhaz
The Dwarfs continued their rapid expanse this month,
outstripping the Duc de Rheged to become the largestempire on the Continent, as well as the most populous. It
would seem that clan Skrat is thriving here with a level of
expansion unparalleled in the older Dwarven realms
The Glorious Hosts of Tor Sarior
Finally the Elves of Tor Sarior seemed to have a change of
luck with the peaceful absorption of a new City to their
North. This however was tempered by the tragic
“misunderstanding” between Prince Golnwaen and the
resident Wizard at ulpha Fell. It seems that the probem
arose when Prince Golnwaen assumed that the Wizard wasan Elf when infact it was none other than Nazgred Bone
Snitcha, Arch Shaman, and snovelling git in waiting to
Snazz Git Stunty Stompa. A full acount by Katerina
Aidee can be read on page three
The Empire of Barrowstown
The turmoil within the Empire has now reached breaking
point. There have been running battles between the
Furness guard and some of the younger noble families.
Even the summary executions orderd by Emperor
Maximillian Von Wittelsbach III’s (47) have failed toquell the unrest. Mass peasant uprisings have been taking
place across the Empire with state troops hard pressed to
supress these spontaneous outburst of mal content. It is
hard to see how the Emperor can possibly retain his throne
with his current inaction. Although Ludovic Von
Wittelsbach Grand Count of Estermot has so far publicly
denounced these uprisings there are many who see his hand
in the organisation.
The Crooked Nose Tribe
Since the battle at Ulpha fell there has been very little news
on the Crooked Nose Tribe. Nobody knows what they were
looking for in the Wizards tower or whether they found it.
Clan Skragskritt
With no information of this empire it is our considered
opinion that these creatures do not exist!

The Rhegedian Chronicle 4
The Massacre at Ulpha Fell.
By Katerina Aidee
Little over a week ago I had the honour to accompany Prince
Golnwaen on his expeditions in the south of his realm. I was
there when he discovered that the Elven Mage at Ulpha Fell
had been slain and replaced by the foul Nazdreg Bone Snitcha
and his lackeys. I will now relate to you the battle that
unfolded.
It was a cool clear late autumn afternoon. There was littlewind and the skies were crystal blue. As the Elves approached
Ulpha Fell, Prince Golnwaen split them into three
detachments. The first were his Noble Silver helms which he
led in person. Second were the sisters of Avelorn, elite Bow
Elves and finally the Lothern Sea Guard were led by
Thantomor and the mage Athlorarare.
The battle field looked thus:
In the Centre of the field was the Wizards tower, to the south
east were the remains of Ulpha keep with an elven Waystone
just to the west of the ruins. Far on the Elves left flank (the
west) was a small hill. To the West of the Wizards tower there
was a small Goblin settlement with an idol of gork and somehedges. To the East of the Tower running along the centre line
was a row of fences. Finally in the North east on the goblins
left flank there was a low hill.
Prince Golnwaen deployed with his Silver helms on the Elves
extreme right flank whilst the Sisters of Avelorn deftly entered
the ruins of Ulpha keep. In the Centre directly in front of the
Waystone and not far from the centre fences deployed the
Lothern Seaguard.
Facing these noble Elves, the Great shaman, Bone Snitcha
had arrayed an impressive force, his left flank was held by a
large unit of Night goblins armed with bows, on the hill behind
them was a goblin spear chukka whilst to their right just below
the hill was a rock lobber, in the centre they had deployed a
large unit of Night Goblins with spears and a unit of Black
orcs, the wizards tower was held by a large unit of very large
orcs. Finally their right flank consisted of another large unit of
Night goblins with spears between the hedges and the Wizards
tower and a unit of Night Goblin Stikkas in the Goblin
settlement. As far as I could tell Bone Snitcha was with the
unit of Night Gobin Stabba’s on their right flank.
With a clear clarion call the Elves advanced. The Silver
Helms swiftly advancing down the right flank whilst the
Lothern Seaguard advanced in the centre to bring the Night
Goblins and Black Orcs into range of their bows. The winds
of magic must have been weak as I saw no spells cast. In a
blaze of blinding blue light the Sisters of Avelorn opened fire
on the Wizards tower. Their supreme accuracy was rewarded
when no less than nine Orcs fell from the tower with arrows
embedded in their hides. Prince Golnwaen drew his bow and
fired upon the Night Goblin archers in front of him but his bow
failed to cause any wounds. The Lothern Seaguard fired
into the Night Goblin Stabbas to their front and felled
three.
In retaliation the Goblins advanced, the Stabbas in the
centre swung left to face the Silver Helms whist those on the
right flank advanced along with the Stikkas. It would
appear that the winds of magic blew stronger now as the
Goblin Shamans cast spell after spell with the Night
Goblin archers in front of the Silver helms gaining the
most.
The Night Goblin Stikkas fired at the Silver helms but
their puny arrows bounced off the fine Elven armour.
Suddeny a bolt from the spear chukka plunged into the ranks
of the Elven Knights wiping out an entire column. A huge
rock hurtled through the sky to land on the ruins of Ulpha
keep, crushing one of the sisters.
Prince Golnwaen led his Silver Helms in a glorious charge
into the Night Goblin Stikkas on the Elven right flank but
alas as they neared their quarry three deranged goblins
wielding huge balls on the ends of long chains emerged.
Two of them ploughed into the Elven Knights smashing
Elves and horses asunder in a welter of blood and bone. Tomake matters worse the Night Goblin Stabbas were also
now close enough to release their fanatics; three more burst
from the goblin ranks and cannoned into the Knights. With
over half their number now dead the Knights maintained
their charge, as they neared the Stikkas a black mist arose
from the Banner bearing the symbol of the bad moon, unable
to see more Knights fell in the rough terrain. Little over
twenty five percent of that noble regiment made it into contact
with their enemy.
Again there was little magic from the Elves. However their
archery was impressive again, the Sisters again fired on the
Big Uns in the Wizards tower killing another six, thensuddenly the remaining Big Un’s broke from the tower and
fled the field. Meanwhile the Lothern Seaguard fired upon
the Black Orcs and despite them being shrouded in darkness
two of the malodorous beasts were felled.
The Silver helms tore into the Night Gobin Stikkas but the
night goblins netters entangled the noble knights reducing
the strength of their charge, only two Goblins fell, then the
mighty Prince Golnwaen struck, striking down another two
goblins. The Goblin Big Bosses struck back and managed
to slay the few remaining Knights leaving the Prince to face
them alone.
The winds were blowing strong again as the Goblins cast a
green bolt of energy into the Seaguard incinerating three of
their number. Bone Snitcha also cast a huge evil looking
moon which floated across the field toward the Lothern
Seaguard. The rock lobber again hit Ulpha keep killing two
more sisters. Over on the Elves right flank Price Golnwaen
gallantly continued his battle against the Goblins felling two
more. The Black Orcs took up residence in the wizards

tower.
Finally Athlorarare cast the piercing bolt of burning on the
Goblin Stabbas preparing to charge Prince Golnwaen. The
bolt tore through their ranks killing nine and causing the entire
unit to flee through the goblin artillery. However the power of
casting this had been too much for Athlorarare and there was a
calamitous detonation which killed four Lothern Seaguard, a
Black Orc and wounded Athlorarare. The Sisters fired uponthe Wizards tower again and killed four more Black Orcs, for
some reason the Seaguard didn’t fire this turn. Alas the vile
Snotflikka, Big boss of the Crooked Nose tribe, cut down
Prince Golnwaen, and then Gobspatter and Skrinak fell on the
Elven noble hacking into him.
Before they could sever his head however a fanatic came
whirling back into their midst and broken and blooded goblins
flew everywhere. The big bosses ignored the fallen elf and
started to argue amongst themselves as to who had been to
blame. Bone Snitcha again hit the Lothern Seaguard with his
vindictive gaze and killed another two he also covered nearby
units with a shroud of pure night before chocking on apoisonous mushroom.
With magic becoming ever more potent Atlorarare cast piercing
bolt of burning on Bone Snitcha’s Stabbas killing eight and a
blazing fireball killed another four. Miraculously the goblins
held their nerve! The Lothern Seauard fired their bows into
Bone Snitcha’s stabbas and killed another five and yet still the
goblins hold their ground. The Sisters of Avelorn kill another
four Black Orcs with their deadly bow fire.
Bone snitch moves into the Wizards tower and his Stabba’s
release their fanatics into the noble Seaguard, seven of these
gallant elves are smashed asuder. Bone Snitcha follows this
up with vindictive gaze and kills a further six. Again the rock
lobber hits Ulpha keep and kills three sisters.
In a desperate attempt to drive off the Goblin Stabbas all of
Athlorarare’s magic and all of the Seaguard’s bow fire is
directed into Bone Snitcha’s Stabbas killing a total of five
which finally causes these Goblins to flee. The Sisters fell
another three Black Orcs.
A lone fanatic smashes into the Seauard slaying four elves;
meanwhile another fanatic smashes into Snotflikkas stikkas
killing six it seems the goblins are doing a fine job of wiping
out their own left flank! However they manage to shoot
another two Seaguard with their short bows. The Goblin
Stikkas on the Elven left flank loose all of their shots at
Athlorarare and he falls pierced by many arrow shafts.
The Sisters of Avelorn continue their murderous fire and
wipe out the Black Orcs leaving only Bone Snitcha andGorstubba the Black Orc Big Boss inside the wizards
Tower. Bone Snitcha decides to deal with these Sisters and
burns five of them with his vindictive gaze. Clearly shaken
the sisters flee the battle field. With only Thantormor and
two Seaguard left on the field the Elves start their
withdrawal with the Goblins in vicious pursuit.
As an aside Bone Snitcha did not survive unharmed. At the
last possible moment the Rock Lobber fired upon the
Seaguard but the shot misses and hits the Wizards Tower,
Bone Snitcha is hit by a falling beam and rendered
unconscious.
The result is a resounding victory for the Goblins and The
Elves flee in disarray scattered to the eight winds. I know
not what has happened to the most serene Prince Golnwaen
nor his faithful mage Athlorarare.
