The preschool and PK classes of St. Joseph Catholic School in

Farmington recently received a Dairy Dollars Grant from St. Louis District

Dairy Council. Each class received a $25 Wal-Mart

gift card to be used to purchase dairy products. All of the

ingredients chosen for their recipes are low-fat, fat-free

or sugar-free. The purpose of this program is to intro-

duce children to new and healthy recipes which then

helps to foster good eating habits.

The Pre-K class’s first recipe, a choco-nana milk mixer,

which 9 out of 10 students report “loving it!”

At left, three young women of Christ the King Catholic

School in University City pose in front of a growing

stack of Boxes of Joy for children in Haiti, Guatemala

and the Dominican Republic.

Elementary School and Preschool in Manchester celebrated an

all-school Mass on Friday, November 11, while hosting the International Pilgrim

Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima. The statue is on a Centennial U. S. Tour

for Peace to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the apparitions at Fatima

visiting 100 dioceses across America between March, 2016 and December,

A Woman’s Prayer... At that moment in time when I

became me

God breathed into my body a soul.

With purpose and love was my

destiny set

She is WOMAN -- let that be her

role.

No role to be played on a limited

stage

Nor rewritten to mimic a man

But fashioned in fiber to deal with

God’s world

As only a woman can.

So let me think as a woman -- feel

as a woman

Love as a woman and seek

With man the crossed pathways to

Heaven

Leaving footprints distinctly unique

of Religion has

taken a new direction

this year in forming a

new program called

Family Faith

Formation.

The program includes

elementary, second-

ary and adult

catechesis, including

online learning and

Sunday morning in-

struction, as well as time for service and fellowship.

Last Sunday the FFF group met with the Sisters of the Society Devot-

ed to the Sacred Heart in the school library for some instruction, song

and a craft.

Working together, each family created their own mission statement to place in their

home as a reminder of this special day.

St. Raphael the Archangel

Catholic School raised $852.00 in less than one week holding “Penny

Wars” (which class can collect the most)

to help schools devastated by flooding in

Louisiana.

They constructed school furniture to donate

(scrubbed clean by the SRA Service Club)

and filled an entire trailer!

Tim Ezell and Virginia Kerr, hosts of the

new FOX2 show, Thread Up STL, collected

both donations of furniture and cash to

deliver to Louisiana schools.
