This map illustrates satellite-detectedwaters over Tonzang township, ChinDivision, Myanmar. UNITAR-UNOSATanalyzed imagery collected by thePleiades satellite on 16 September 2015and detected the presence of a landslideover a mountainous area in Tonzangtownship. As a consequence of thelandslide waters have accumulated in

the area forming a dam. Imagery showsthat a total of 34 hectares are coveredby water. The heavy cloud cover in thearea prevents UNOSAT fromdetermining the exact dimension of thelandslide. This is a preliminary analysis& has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback toUNITAR / UNOSAT.
