Le bon exemple fait beaucoup de bien
(Dernières paroles de Marie Madeleine) 5 avril 1858
Good example does much good.(Last words of Marie Madeleine)
5 April 1858
Lord Jesus, teach me to be generous;
teach me to serve you as you deserve,
to give and not to count the cost,
to fight and not to heed the wounds,
to toil and not to seek for rest,
to labour and not to seek reward,
except that of knowing that I do your will.
Amen.
Marie Madeleine was inspired by the group of religious called The Jesuits and
found that their way of following Jesus was what she wanted for women. This
Prayer of Generosity was written by St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of The Jesuits.
Marie Madeleine displayed all these qualities during her lifetime. Which do you think you are and which one would you like to be?
