Early birds have been readying themselves for
kindergarten. We have been spending time in
KB and KJ, getting used to our 2019 classrooms.
Our buddies have been helping us to cope with
our transition.

SWIM SCHOOL 2018 Swim school has been completed for 2018! Congratulations to all participants on their achievements. Most or all, skills were achieved in individual groups. Certificates were awarded to the students in last Friday’s assembly. Well done!!

K-2 BIG DAY OUT Our K-2 Big Day Out is on NEXT WEDNESDAY 12TH DECEMBER (WEEK 9). We will be having a fun filled day out at Maitland Park and Reading Cinemas to watch The Grinch. Notes and a payment of $20 must be paid to the office NO LATER THAN THIS WEDNESDAY 5th DECEMBER.
STAGE 2 BIG DAY OUT Our stage 2 Big Day Out is on NEXT TUESDAY 11TH DECEMBER (WEEK 9). We will be enjoying a day out at Raymond Terrace Ten Pin Bowling. Notes and a payment of $15 must be paid to the office NO LATER THAN THIS WEDNESDAY 5th DECEMBER.
STAGE 3 BIG DAY OUT Our stage 3 Big Day Out is on NEXT FRIDAY 14TH DECEMBER (WEEK 9). We will be heading to Maitland Reading Cinemas and Maitland Aquatic Centre. Notes and a payment of $25 must be paid to the office NO LATER THAN THIS WEDNESDAY 5th DECEMBER.
Our Year 6 farewell will be held NEXT TUESDAY 11th DECEMBER, 2018 at Beresfield Bowling Club. Year 6 students, 2 guests & 2019 school leaders will need to arrive at Beresfield Bowling Club at 5.15pm. Year 5 students are welcome to attend the disco from 6.45-8.30pm.
FGHS YEAR 7 ORIENTATION DAY Year 6 students going into year 7 in 2019 have a FGHS orientation day TOMORROW, TUESDAY 4TH DECEMBER. Students will be walking with a teacher to FGHS at 9am for a 9.30am start. They will be returning to WPS at approximately 2.30pm.
HEAD LICE Due to the warmer weather we have had increased cases of head lice at our school. Please check your child’s hair regularly and treat with head lice treatment as necessary.

WIN A POSTIE POSTIE BIKE RAFFLE The Postie Bike Group has completed the restoration of a 1986 CT110 Honda Postie Bike. The Postie is now on display at the Beresfield Bowling Club $2 Raffle Tickets available at WPS Front Office or the Beresfield Bowling Club. The winning ticket will be drawn at the Woodberry Public School Presentation Day Assembly on Monday 17 December 2018 at 10.00am.
In Term 2, 2017 a group of 10 students from years 4, 5 and 6 at Woodberry Public School started work on restoring a 1986 CT110 Postie Bike. Funding for the project came from a $4500 grant from the Beresfield Bowling Club. Each student spent around 1 hour per week working on the bike.

WOODBERRY MAITLAND NEIGHBOURHOOD CENTRE Do you know about the MAITLAND NEIGHBOURHOOD CENTRE at Woodberry? We are at the Noel Unicomb Hall at Lawson Avenue, Woodberry. The Centre is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9.30am to 4pm (closed 1-2pm for lunch) and on Tuesdays from 9.30am to 12pm. Find us on Facebook under Maitland Neighbourhood Centre. We provide the following services:
