The purpose of primary education is to ensure that every Turkish child acquires the basic knowledge, skills, behaviors, and habits to become a good citizen, is prepared for life and for the next education level parallel to his/her interests and skills.They have a 4-year curriculum and prepare children for future higher education.
SECONDARY SCHOOL EDUCATION
With a new Law in 2012, four years of Secondary school is also compulsory today. After finishing the Primary school, the students between the ages of 10 and 14 continue the Secondary school. They study Turkish, Social Science, Science and Technology, Maths, Foreign Language, Visual Arts, Physical Education, Religion Culture and optional subjects.
HIGH EDUCATION
The aims of hıgh education are ;
to provide the students with common general culture
to prepare them for tertiary education, life and vocational fields in accordance with their interests and talents through various programmes.
High school education covers general, vocational and technical high shools (Lycees, Lise in Turkish) that provide four years of education
