WHY TYRES?
Tyres are organic and chemical products and as such degrade over
time
Vehicle condition and tyres are integral part of a vehicle
80% of automobile accidents in Nigeria are caused by burst tires
due to low quality and age

TYRE FEATURES
Traction
Traction indicates ability to stop on wet pavement.
Grading of traction from highest to lowest is AA, A, B,
C.
A higher grade stops on wet surface at a shorter distance
compared to the lower grade
Tread Wear Number
This indicates the wear rate of the tyre. Wear rate is less
for a higher tread wear number
i.e. 220 would wear twice faster than 440

Confirm Manufacture date and replace before expiry
Rotate rotate tires every 5000miles (8,000km)
Evaluate tread check or damage
Inflate correct pressures, check monthly
Do not inflate to maximum pressure except the car is bearing maximum load
