Tabari IX:115 “The Messenger completed the pilgrimage, showed the people its rites, and taught them what was required of them including the stations, the throwing of pebbles, the running around the Ka’aba, and what Allah had permitted them to do , and what He had forbidden.”

Tabari IX:108 “When Allah’s Messenger returned to Medina after performing the hajj of Perfection in Religion, he began to have a complaint of illness.” “News of the Prophet’s illness spread, so Musaylimah leapt at the opportunity to claim the prophethood for himself.”

Tabari IX:166 “The Prophet ordered the expedition of Usamah, but it did not go well because of his illness and because two other Arabs had proclaimed themselves prophets and renounced his authority.

The Prophet’s head was wrapped around because of the pain.”

Tabari IX:167 “Muhammad waged war against the false prophets by sending messengers with instructions to get rid of them by artful contrivance [plot, machination, or device].”

Tabari IX:169 “Aisha said, ‘When the Messenger returned from the Baqi cemetery he found me.

He was suffering from a headache and crying. ‘Alas, O my head!’

He moaned, ‘Nay, by Allah, O Aisha, rather alas, O my head!’”

“Then he said, ‘Would it distress you if you were to die before me so that I could take care of your body, wrap you in a shroud, pray over you, and bury you?’”

“Aisha replied, ‘It seems to me that if you were to do that you would return to my apartment and would party with another one of your wives.’”

Bukhari: V2 B23 N414 “The Prophet in his fatal illness said, “Allah cursedJews and Christians because they took their Prophets’ graves as places for praying.’”

Bukhari:V5B59N727 “When the ailment of Allah’s Apostle became aggravated, he requested his wives to permit him to be nursed in my apartment.

They gave him permission. He came out between two men with his feet dragging on the ground.”

Page 6: Understanding Islam Part 5 Death Of Mohammed Legacy Of Islam

Bukhari:V5B59N730 “Aisha said,

‘It was one of the favors of Allah towards me that His Apostle expired in my apartment on the day of my turn while he was leaning on my chest and Allah made my saliva mix with his at his death.

Abd-Rahman entered upon me with a Siwak in his hand and I was supporting Muhammad against my chest.

I saw the Prophet looking at it and I knew that he loved the Siwak, so I said, ‘Shall I take it for you?’

He nodded. It was too stiff for him to use and I softened it as He nodded his approval. He cleaned his teeth with it, crying, “Death has its tortures.”’”

Tabari IX:183 “Aisha said, ‘Muhammad rubbed his teeth with it more energetically than I had ever seen him doing before. Then he put it down, and I found him getting heavy in my lap…and he died.’”

Tabari IX:204 “They buried him where he died. Aisha’s bed was removed and a grave was dug beneath it.”Mohammed’s Grave

“While Umar was talking to the people,

Abu Bakr said, ‘Sit down, Umar!’

But he refused. So the people came to Abu and left him.

Bakr said, ‘To proceed, if you used to worship Muhammad, then Muhammad is dead, but if anyone of you used to worship Allah, then Allah is alive and shall never die. Allah said, ‘Muhammad is no more than an Apostle, and indeed apostles have passed away before him.’ (3:144)

By Allah, it was as if the people never knew Allah had revealed this Verse before Abu recited it.

Umar said, ‘When I heard Bakr, my legs could not support me and I fell down, declaring that the Prophet had died.’”

Tabari IX:187

“When the Prophet died,

Umar stood up threatening the people, saying, ‘Some of the hypocrites allege that the Messenger of Allah is dead.

I swear by Allah that he is alive, not dead.

By Allah the Prophet will return and he will go after those who are spreading lies about him.

He will cut off the hands and the feet of those who claim that he is dead.

He will crucify them.’”

“Zubayr drew his sword saying,

‘I will not put it back until the oath of allegiance is rendered to Ali.’

When this news reached Abu Bakr and Umar, the latter said,

‘Hit him with a stone and seize the sword.’”

Bukhari:V5 B59 N546

“Fatimah, the daughter of the Prophet [and Ali’s wife], sent someone to Bakr, asking for her inheritance of what Allah’s Apostle had left of the property taken from the Fai booty gained without fighting in Medina and Fadak, and what remained of the Khumus [Muhammad’s fifth of the booty gained through fighting] of the Khaybar booty.

On that, Abu said, ‘Our property is not inherited. Whatever we leave is Sadaqa, but the family of Muhammad can eat of this property. I will not make any change in the estate of the Apostle and will dispose of it as he used to.’

So Bakr refused to give anything to Fatimah.” Abu BakrThe 1st Caliph

Page 11: Understanding Islam Part 5 Death Of Mohammed Legacy Of Islam

Bukhari: V5 B59 N546 …

[When] Bakr refused to give anything to Fatimah. She became angry.

When she died, her husband Ali buried her at night without informing Bakr and he said the funeral prayer by himself.

When Fatimah was alive, the people used to respect Ali, but after her death, Ali noticed a change in people’s attitude towards him.

So he sought reconciliation with Bakr.

So he sought reconciliation with Bakr.

Ali sent someone to Bakr saying,

‘Come to me, but let nobody come with you,’ as he disliked Umar.

But Umar said, ‘No, not alone.’

Ali uttered, ‘Tashah-hud [a ritual prayer],’ and said,

‘I know your superiority and am not jealous, but you did not consult me in the question of rulership and I thought that I had a right to rule because of my near relationship to Allah’s Apostle.’

“Thereupon Bakr’s eyes flowed with tears. ‘As for the trouble which arose between me and you about his property, I will spend it according to what is good, and will not leave any rule or regulation which I saw Allah’s Apostle following in disposing of it.’

Ali added, ‘I believed that I had some rights in this affair and when you did not consult me in these matters, it caused me to feel sorry.’” Abu Bakr

The 1st Caliph

'Umar said, "O Abu Bakr! How can you fight these people although Allah's Apostle said, ‘

“I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah,

'and whoever said, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah', Allah will save his property and his life from me, unless (he does something for which he receives legal punishment) justly, and his account will be with Allah?'

Abu Bakr said, "By Allah! I will fight whoever differentiates between prayers and Zakat [tax], as Zakat is the right to be taken from property (according to Allah's Orders). By Allah! If they refused to pay me even a kid they used to pay to Allah's Apostle, I would fight with them for withholding it." ‘

Umar said, "By Allah: It was nothing, but I noticed that Allah opened Abu Bakr's chest towards the decision to fight, therefore I realized that his decision was right."

When the Prophet died and Abu Bakr became his successorsome of the Arabs reverted to disbelief [stopped paying taxes],

According to Islam:

Mohammed is the last and greatest of the Prophets.

According to Islam Jesus is just a prophet.

Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.

Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. Luke 6: 27 -31

Qur’an (Yusuf Ali) Surah 9: 5 But when the forbidden months are past, then

fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them,

an seize them,

beleaguer them, and

lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war);

but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Page 23: Understanding Islam Part 5 Death Of Mohammed Legacy Of Islam

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Luke 6: 35 -37

Quran (Yusuf Ali)

Surah 48: 15 – 16 Those who lagged behind (will say), when ye (are free to) march and take booty (in war):

"Permit us to follow you." They wish to change Allah's decree: …

Say to the desert Arabs who lagged behind: "Ye shall be summoned (to fight) against a people given to vehement war:

then shall ye fight, or they shall submit.

Then if ye show obedience, Allah will grant you a goodly reward, …

Page 24: Understanding Islam Part 5 Death Of Mohammed Legacy Of Islam

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Qur’an (Yusuf Ali) Surah 3: 30 – 32 "On the Day when every soul will be confronted with all the good it has done, and all the evil it has done, it will wish there were a great distance between it and its evil. …

Say: "If ye do love Allah, Follow me: Allah will love you and forgive you your sins: For Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful."

Say: "Obey Allah and His Messenger": But if they turn back, Allah loveth not those who reject Faith.

Page 25: Understanding Islam Part 5 Death Of Mohammed Legacy Of Islam

Luke 5:18 - 25 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: …

And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.

And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, …

But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.

And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.

Noble Qur’an Surah 3: 135 And those who, when they have committed Fahishah (illegal sexual intercourse etc.) or wronged themselves with evil, - remember Allâh and ask forgiveness for their sins;

- and none can forgive sins but Allâh

- And do not persist in what (wrong) they have done, while they know.

Luke 9:56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. …

Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Matthew 9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Bukhari  V4, B52, N220:

Allah's Apostle said, "I have been sent with

the shortest expressions

bearing the widest meanings, and

I have been made victorious with terror

(cast in the hearts of the enemy),

and while I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand.” …

Page 27: Understanding Islam Part 5 Death Of Mohammed Legacy Of Islam

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

… And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. John 17: 1-5

Jesus said not these things !Nobel Qur’an 61: 6

'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), said:

"O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allâh unto you confirming the Taurât [(Torah) which came] before me,

and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed [Mohammed].

But when he (Ahmed i.e. Muhammad) came to them with clear proofs, they said: "This is plain magic."

Nobel Qur’an 19: 30 & 36

30 "He ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: Verily! I am a slave of Allâh, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet;“

36 ['Iesa (Jesus) said]: "And verily Allâh is my Lord and your Lord.

So worship Him (Alone). That is the Straight Path. (Allâh's Religion of Islâmic Monotheism which He did ordain for all of His Prophets).”

Qur’an (Yusuf Ali)Surah 05: 72 – 73They do blaspheme who say: "Allah is Christ the son of Mary."

But said Christ: "O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord."

Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode.

… They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. … verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers …

Page 28: Understanding Islam Part 5 Death Of Mohammed Legacy Of Islam

[Jesus said to his disciples:] These things I command you, that ye love one another.

If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin. John 15:17-22

Page 29: Understanding Islam Part 5 Death Of Mohammed Legacy Of Islam

For the 1st fifteen centuries to be a Bible believing Christian was a death sentence. It still is in many parts of the world.

Many Emperors and Kings made Christianity their state religion, but they themselves or the clerics they appointed began to issue their own commands in the name of God which contradicted the teachings of Christ. Next they attacked Christians who refused to acknowledge them.

Early Christians were faithful unto death, loving God more than their own lives. Many tortures were devised to try to make them deny Christ, their Lord and Saviour.

Muslims tell us that terrorists, despite their claims of serving Allah, are not true Muslims; because they are disobeying the teachings of the Qur’an.

Please consider that those calling themselves Christians who violate the teachings of Jesus may not be Christians.

Page 31: Understanding Islam Part 5 Death Of Mohammed Legacy Of Islam

Ishaq:130 “When the Quraysh became distressed by the trouble caused by the Apostle they called him a liar, insulted him, and accused him of being a poet, a sorcerer, a diviner, and of being possessed. However, the Apostle continued to proclaim what Allah had ordered him to proclaim. He excited their dislike by condemning their religion, forsaking their idols, and leaving them to their unbelief.” …“Sometimes when Muhammad was performing the prayer, Abu Lahab would place a goat’s stomach on him. Sometimes when food was being cooked in the courtyard, he and his wife would throw filth at the cooking pot. The Prophet would say: ‘What kind of neighborliness is it?’ Lahab’s wife had made it a practice to cast thorns at his door at night so that when he came out, they would stick in his feet.”
