What is FAEIS?
• A data warehouse – information relating to Agriculture and related majors offered at Land Grant and other institutions.
• Information Includes:– Enrollment in programs– Graduation in programs– Placement of graduates– Information about faculty
History of FAEIS
• Data Collected on Graduates by Department of Education (HEGIS & IPEDS)
• Authorization to collect data given in 1977 to USDA
• Texas A&M (through 2000) under a cooperative agreement collected and assembled data
• Virginia Tech under a cooperative agreement converted to a web based relational database in 2002

How are Data Entered?
• Web based system
• Data entry can be centralized or delegated to departments
• System available 24/7
• Help Desk staff available to assist users 8 hours a day/Monday – Friday by e-mail or telephone
Data Access
• REEIS Web site has reports which you can use for enrollments and degrees by gender and ethnicity as well as major
• FAEIS Web site has a custom report builder which will be demonstrated Thursday at the open sessions
