PROJECT 2: Greenland and Denmark Geological Survey contract – Geological Mapping and Summary Reports
* 1: 40000 mapping of parts of Kapisillit sheet (64V2Syd), SW Greenland, North Atlantic Craton.(GEUS Lead - Julie Hollis)
* Mineral occurrence types – Shear-zone hosted polymetallic sulphides + gold; metasomatic inferred seafloor alteration + minor sulphide mineralization of greenstones overprinted by polyphase
metamorphism and deformation.
* Design and implementation of a field database for use with hand-held computer (PDA).
PROJECT 3: NTGO U-Pb Geochronology contract
* Production of U-Pb isotopic datasets (integrated LAM ICPMS (MUN) and CA IDTIMS (Massacheusetts Institute of Technology)) for samples from Southern Wopmay orogen constrain temporal relationships of IOCG-related alteration fluxes at DeVries Lake, Great Bear Magmatic Zone and address 1:250 000 scale regional tectonic and metallogenic temporal problems.
PROJECT 4: Geological Survey of Canada Contract: Geological mapping and Structural Report
* 1: 60000 bedrock mapping and structural analysis of selected areas of the Boothia Mainland (NTS 57A-D), Archean Rae Domain, Nunavut (Project Leads - Jim Ryan, Leo Nadeau).
PROJECT 5: NTGO contract: U-Pb geochronology
* Mineral occurrence types – Sulphide-facies banded iron formation; minor massive sulphide occurrences associated with Archean volcano-sedimentary belts (genetic affinity unknown).
* Production of U-Pb detrital zircon datasets: Archean – Palaeoproterozoic unconformity relationships (structural – stratigraphic-temporal), Wopmay Orogen, NWT.
