• Initiated safety upgrade at Jack Ledger Child/Youth Facility
- Plans to expand the special care unit (Fall 2014)
• Improving links to Community Services- Future area of focus

• Non cannabis drug offences are 26% higher in Victoria than the island (241 vs. 192 per 100,000)
• Illicit drug deaths are 67% higher than BC average (10.4 vs. 6.2 per 100,000)
• One of the top 3 regions on the island for drug induced deaths
