The Chickasaw District Congress of Christian Education is the education arm of the Congress and is responsi-ble for teaching and training classes in every aspect of Christian Education. This meeting, attended by dele-gates, is held each year in April, May and June one day a month at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Wynne-wood, Oklahoma. A selection of more than 7-10 classes equip Christian education leaders with the necessary information and teaching techniques to fulfill their respective roles in their local ministries with excellence. The delegates graduate or receive a Certificate of Progress after a prescribed program of study.
In addition to our regular Congress, we have been certified by the National Baptist Convention, USA to con-duct a Winter Congress in January, 2010. We will also be conducting a school in the Fall of 2010. We are excited and implore you to join us to further your education in the Word of God.
Due to the additional schools being added, we are asking each church to represent with $50.00. This covers administrative costs of both schools and honorariums to the instructors of both schools.
The first school will be hosted at the First Baptist Church in Ardmore. The dates are listed below:
Saturday, January 23rd
Time 9AM-12 Noon and 1 PM-3 PM

“Delayed, but not Denied” By First Lady Kimberly Eaton
One of my prayers as a young girl growing up in the warm humid climate of
Houston, Texas was to have a white Christmas. There had been a many
Christmas days celebrated with the prayer that maybe this year would be the year that it snowed. Well, so much for wishing, dreaming, hoping, believing and thinking that I would actually see snow on Christmas day. As I grew older, I realized that this dream would only become a reality if I went to the snow. I considered my-self a world traveler and I had the perfect location all picked out. Here we come Vermont. I had seen the ad-vertisement in a magazine while waiting on my dermatologist in 2007. Now my husband is not the traveler. The only place that he travels in comfort is to cyberspace while snuggled up on the living room sofa. So he poses this question, "So where is it that you want to go and see the snow? He's heard the diligent moaning of my wish to have a Christmas filled with snow for the past two tears. Ex-cuse me (LOL) I mean years. He's probably been crying on the inside for me to stop the madness of wanting a white Christmas. His question to me was "And why do you want this?" I would go on to explain that this has always been a dream to have a storybook Christmas filled with snow, hot chocolate, chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at my nose. And the story goes on and on. Well, I am praising God for my prayer being delayed for 47 years, but not denied. God gives us the things that we want only if we have enough faith in Him to believe. In Hebrews 11:3 (KJV), Now faith is the sub-stance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. I could have gone to Vermont to where I thought snow would be for Christmas or any other place where it historically snows for Christmas. However, I didn't do that. I always knew that I would be somewhere that it could happen. I know for sure that I have two strong attributes or characteristics of the Fruit of the Spirit. They are FAITH and PATIENCE. I do possess others, however, these attributes were specifically activated for this event. My prayers, hopes and dreams were to someday have a White Christmas. I just wanted to share this with you. There are many times in our lives that we pray for a multitude of things, but sometimes we do not pray by faith. We don't have the patience to endure nor the fortitude to make the ride for the long haul. There have been many dreams, many hopes and many blessings that God is just waiting to give us, but he is just waiting to see if your faith is grounded in the fragility of loose granules of sand or the solid foundation of a rock hard faith. Until next time, I will leave you with these questions for you to meditate on: 1. "How many blessings are sitting on the shelf in Heaven with your name on it? 2. Wouldn't it be a shame to get to Heaven and see a warehouse filled with all of your blessings that you did-n't even ask for, pray for or just have enough faith to wait for? 3.Why are your blessings just sitting there collecting dust? Your blessings may just have be delayed in 2009, but, you begin again in 2010 to have faith in God.

Happy, Happy, Happy New Year! My quickly the years go by. Many of the elders use to say if I know then what I know now. Does anyone remember this old saying? This new year will present new changes, new beginnings, and new opportunities. There will be open doors, closed doors, new challenges and new blessings! Titus 3:14 (NIV) Our people must learn to devote themselves; to do what is good in or-der that they may provide for daily necessities; and not unproductive lives. Points I. Commit yourselves to doing good v. 14a Our people must learn to devote themselves to do what is good in order that they may pro-vide for daily necessities and not live unproductive lives. 2. Commit yourselves to living good v.14b Remind the people to be subject rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready, do what ever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceful and considerate and to show true humility toward all men. 3. Commit yourselves to modeling Christian character v.14c This is a trustworthy point. I want tot stress this point for those that trust in God, you should be on guard to emulate Christ in your day to day living. Be obedient in living as the Word of God says and your life will be full and rich. Each day govern yourselves accordingly. Pray and devote yourselves to emulating good Christian character.
Join us as we are praying for God to reveal His Ram in the Bush for a Worship Leader.
