Tips– There can be no hidden columns or rows in your
spreadsheet– Annual data should be represented as thousands
E.g.$275.0 from survey should be entered as $275000 in import file
– Do not use quotes or $ signs when preparing data– Do not use commas in numeric columns– The last column of data must have values or labels in it– Delete data you don’t need
E.g., if you don’t intend to upload survey job description or a level description, delete these columns from your spreadsheet

Is Data Ready for Import?
Save your finished spreadsheet to a tab delimited text file
Upload the tab delimited text file to your FTP

Survey Imports in REWARD
The process:– From Tools menu, select Import/Export data– Choose Import Salary Survey Data– Follow steps 1-6 for import
1. Specify the survey source2. Describe the survey3. Identify the file (from list of FTP’d text files)4. Map which columns to import5. Select which cuts (scopes) to import 6. Select which jobs to import

Note: Once you enter in a survey source it is available the next time you import.

Step 2: Describe the survey
Recommended naming convention:
Year, Vendor Name, Survey Title
Ex: 2003 Radford Benchmark Report
