All prizes & certificates may be collected from the Puhoi Sports Club after the show on Saturday at 4.00pm. All exhibits
clearly marked with the Class & Competitor Number, are to be in the downstairs area of the Puhoi Sports Club no l ater than
12 noon on Friday the 6th January. Indoor entries will be accepted downstairs at the Sports Club between 5.30 & 7.30pm on
Thursday evening, and between 8.30am & 12 noon on the Friday prior to the Show. Judging Commences at 1.00pm. Exhib-
its may be collected after 4.00pm at the conclusion of the Show.
All produce and flowers must be the current seasons & grown by the e xhibitor.
At the time that entries are accepted an Indoor Competitor ticket will be issued. This ticket must be presented to the Stew-
ard when collecting exhibits at the close of the show on Saturday at 4.00pm, and may be shown to the Security Staff at the
gate to gain entry to the grounds after 2.00pm on that day.

HORSE SECTION 6th & 7th JANUARY 2012
Entries Close 1st January 2012. Please send a stamped self-addressed envelope with yourentry to receive free competor admission ckets.
Late Entries will be accepted on the payment of a penalty of 25% for entries already entered,or 50% for new entries.
Refunds a Veterinarian or Doctors cercate must be produced within 7 days of show dateto receive 70% refund. Failure to comply will result in no refund.
Novice Rider, Hack, Pony 0-3 wins or 0-5 wins in that event at an A&P Show.
Height Cercates a copy of current RAS height cercates & performance cards, where
applicable, must be forwarded with your entry, original carried on the day of compeon andproduced on request. All prizes will be forfeited if height cercates and performance cardsare not produced at the request of the Stewards.
Park Hack Classes are for Park Hacks only height over 148cms & not exceeding 158cms.
Champion & Reserve Champion Champion: rst prize winners from nominated classes. Re-serve:
seconds to standby, the animal that takes 2nd place in their class to the Champion is then toenter the ring.
Stallions all stallions compeng at this show must be exhibited with an S (stallion iden-caon badge) aached to their bridle or halter. The badges should also be displayed where thestallion is being prepared or moving amongst other horses.
Helmets approved helmets must be worn in all jumping events. Riders 16 years and undermust wear approved safety helmets. See Rule 51c.
Classes may be combined if there are 3 or fewer entries.
Cups & Trophies all Cups & trophies will be presented on the day and those won at the pre-vious show must be returned by 30 November of the same year unless prior arrangementsmade with the secretary. Engraving is the responsibility of the competor.
Compeon is governed by rules of the Waitemata A&P Show Inc, and the rules and guide-lines of the Royal Agricultural Society of NZ Inc. Entry in compeon at the show is deemed tobe acceptance of these rules. A full set of RAS rules which governs this show is held at theshow secretarys oce and is available for competors inspecon.
All protests must be in wring, and lodged with the Secretary, accompanied by a cash depositof $50 within 30 minutes of the event. In the event of any protest, the entry concerned mustnot be removed from the showgrounds without permission of the President. The commieewill decide all protests and there will be no appeal from the decision. In the event of the pro-test not being upheld, the deposit shall be forfeited to the Society.
The Waitemata A&P Show Associaon Inc is an aliated member of the Royal AgriculturalSociety of New Zealand and as such will uphold the Societys Rules, including the EquestrianCompetors and
Judges Rule Book, June 2003.
The use of tranquilisers, smulants, or any drug capable of aecng the performance of horsesor ponies is forbidden. Competors are advised that tests for forbidden substances may becarried out during the show.
All competors ride at their own risk. A hard-hat must be worn with working or riding a horseat all A&P Shows. All riders under the age of 16 years must wear protecve headgear withretaining harness secured to the shell at more than two points. Refer Rule 51 of the RASEquestrian Judges & Competors Rulebook.
Ground fee of $5 per horse, and RAS Forbidden Substance test and levy $1.00 per class.

BEEF SECTIONS
Rules regarding TB regulaons
Late Entries wil l also be accepted on the day of the 7th
January 2012.
1. For animals from herds which are under movement restricons imposed by an Ocial
Direcve or Restricted Place Noce issued by the Animal Health Board (AHB). The owner
will have to sasfy the requirements of the Movement Control before animals can move o
the property to the show. Provided these requirements are met, the AHB cannot prevent
these animals from being shown. However, A & P Associaons may choose not to accept
such animals in the interests of other exhibitors . The RAS and AHB recommend A & P Asso-
ciaons do not accept such animals.
2.For animals from Declared Movement Control Areas all animals over the age of 90 days are
to be tested, and have a clear test, within 60 days prior to being moved to the Show.
3.For animals from C10 status herds in Surveillance Areas (eg. Northland) no test is required
but a clearly dated test allocaon form or other documentaon from the AHB must be
submied that shows the herd is not overdue for a whole herd test.
4.For animals from all other herds and areas if the herd has a C3 status or beer, no test is
required PROVIDED the last whole test was within 12 months prior to the Show. If the
whole last herd test was not within 12 months of the Show, then Show cale over one year
old MUST have a clear test within the current Show season.
5.If the herd has a status of C1 or C2, then Show cale over one year old MUST have a clear
test within the current Show season.

TURNOUT Appearance of Handler
The dress, footwear and general tidiness needs to be considered - i.e. cleanstrong shoes or boots. No jandals or gumboots.
If a hat is worn it must be worn correctly. No logos or advertising to be present on any clothing including hats. For The Royal Easter Show the older group should be wearing breed uniforms
or white coats.
Presentation of Animal The animal itself is not judged however the general presentation is taken into
consideration as the youth will have prepared the animal for the ring. The halter should be clean and fit the animal correctly. Rope or leather halters
are allowed. For beef competitors if a show stick is carried it must be carried correctly.Ability of Handling Animal To parade and show off animal To stop when asked Able to stand animal up. To move on again when requested

Conditions of Entry
1. Entries will be taken up to and including show day.
2. All registered animals may enter in all classes, but they must enter theirBreed Classes prior to Interbreed Classes.
3. All entries must be named or if not yet entered in their respective Herd Regis-
ters must be identified by ear tags, irrespective of age, breed, class.
4. All E.T. calves must be identified as such on the entry form animals may be
stalled on the Friday night prior to the show, but are the owners responsibility.
5. A Breed ring constitutes a minimum of two exhibitors and 10 head of cattle,
otherwise stock will automatically be entered in the Other Breeds Ring.
LEGAL LIABILITY THE SOCIETYS POLICY DOES NOT COVER COMPETI-
TORS AND EXHIBITORS
Each exhibitor must supervise and control their animals at all times and shall
be liable for any hazard created, or accident, illness or damage caused by the
action of themselves or their animals at the show grounds.
Exhibitors must comply with the appropriate Animal Legislation and Health &
Safety in Employment Act 1992.No person is permitted in any judging ring with-
out express permission from the Head Steward of that ring.
Only persons directly responsible are permitted in the marshalling area.
