Track 23
I am a PI (private investigator) and two years ago I was hired to locate Dr. Koch, the famous German archaeologist who was missing. I had some clues and decided to travel to Patagonia, in Southern Argentina, to try to find him there. When I got to Neuquén, some locals told me that Dr. Koch worked in some Mapuche reservations in the area for three weeks but then he apparently left for Ushuaia. During the time I was in Ushuaia looking for Koch, I had the chance to visit fascinating places.
I especially liked the many glaciers that you can see in this region. The local police in Ushuaia told me Koch did not stay in the city for too long. He just looked around the city centre and then took a cruise to Antarctica. He was apparently in a hurry and looked a bit anxious.
I decided to go to Antarctica and follow Dr. Koch. I knew he was after something but could not tell exactly what it was.
Finally, I could meet Koch in the Argentinian base of Marambio on the Antarctic peninsula. He looked very
pleased and relaxed now. Two huge dinosaurs were discovered near the base area and Koch was there to identify them. He told me one of them was a quick-moving meat-eater and the other was a giant plant-eater. Koch said that these two dinosaurs probably represent a population of two-legged carnivores that survived in Antarctica long after other predators invaded different areas on the globe. ‘For whatever reason, they were still hanging out on the Antarctic continent ’, said Koch.
