United Way of Pueblo County works to provide a hand up in times of need, and is able to do this most efficiently and effectively by providing critical funding to partner agencies/funded programs that provide the direct service.
While we are unable to provide funds directly to individuals, we provide knowledgeable referral sources to address
needs in the community as best as possible.
ABOUT YOUR UNITED WAY...
WE’RE LOCAL...• Funds stay here to address LOCAL needs. Chances are
United Way has helped you or someone you know.
WE’RE EFFICIENT AND GET RESULTS...• 89 cents of every dollar goes directly to funded programs.
• The amount of money raised and distributed is not the only measure of results. What matters most is the lives impacted and improved in Pueblo County EVERY DAY!
WE’RE CONVENIENT...• Payroll deduction is a simple way to give. Gifts range
from $1 a week to $1,000+ a year – every dollar makes a difference!
WE’RE ACCOUNTABLE...• Local volunteers review requests, make tough funding
decisions, and ensure every penny is spent wisely.
• Independent audits of UWPC and its agencies are conducted and analyzed. In fact, everything we do is governed by a local group of committed citizens with our community’s needs in mind serving on the board of directors and on committees.
WE HELP IN OUR COMMUNITY...• The 50+ different health and human service programs
that UW funds provided over 177,000 units of critical services, improving the quality of life for neighbors, friends, coworkers & families in Pueblo County last year.
