to student interests and concerns. I have two IB UNITS planned so far:
• 1. What are the qualities of a leader? (2nd Six Weeks)
• 2. How does my cultural heritage affect who I am? (6th Six Weeks)
IB Learner Profile: OPEN MINDED
Classroom Supplies Needed This Year:
Pick up complete school supply list. Most important on first day: --6 composition books Bring to all classes, everyday: 1. Pencils 2. Binder 3. agenda 4. handheld sharpener 5. loose leaf paper
My grading and homework policy
• Homework: Read 20 minutes a night, every night
ANYTHING the student wants to read. I do NOT grade this, but ask for parents’ support on this.
• In an ideal world, every family member would sit down and read their own book (or together if you’d prefer) for twenty minutes a night. All devices would be off.
• Reading is life changing!
