Classroom Policies
• SEE 5A, 5B, 5C
• That they love coming to school• That they “get lost” when reading books• That they view themselves as writers• That they see themselves as artists• That they realize some problems take time to solve, and are worth pursuing• That they develop collaboration skills• That they see each other as unique individuals who bring different
perspectives• That they can work with just about anybody in a positive and productive
manner• That they feel challenged but not stressed out• That they realize if they don’t know or understand something, they just
don’t know or understand it YET• They continue to grow into who they are meant to be
My Hopes For Your Children
Ways to help your child succeed:
•Establish regular homework time.
•Check your child’s agenda nightly or as needed.
•Read with him/her.
•Have backpack packed and any other supplies by the door before going to bed.
•Ask your child about his or her day - “Tell me about something you’re learning.”
•Encourage your child to do his or her best, ask questions, and contribute in class.
