What is the reaction between bakingsoda and vinegar.
By Jesse Garcia
purpose• To find out the chemical reaction between baking soda
and vinegar.
procedure• First you get baking soda and vinegar• Then you can make a volcano out of modeling clay • Let the volcano dry • Put the baking soda in first then vinegar • Wait for results
Materials • Baking soda • Vinegar• Modeling clay• Paper towels.• cup
Hypothesis
if I pour the vinegar on the baking soda a chemical reaction should happen. I think that it will fizz all over the volcano. Because it has a chemical reaction.
Procedure
• First I gathered my materials: baking soda, vinegar, a cup, and a funnel. • I put the measured correct amount of baking soda in
the cup for each experiment.• Then I put in the measured amount of vinegar in the
cup.• Stand back and watch the explosion!

Results
• I discovered that the more baking soda and vinegar you put in the greater the explosion.
conclusion• My hypothesis was supported the reaction was
awesome the .volcano exploded with a vinegary smell
Future Considerations• I would put in the same amount of baking soda and
vinegar to see if there is different reaction
