Page 1: Why Multiplex (MPX)?

Elite MPX – Multiplex 755nm/1064nm for the treatment of leg veins

Page 2: Why Multiplex (MPX)?

Why Multiplex (MPX)?

• Sequential firing of two gold standard wavelengths just 10ms apart

• 755nm Alex turns the oxyhemoglobin to methemoglobin in the targeted

blood vessel

• Methemoglobin has a higher optical absorption

• 1064nm Nd:YAG is now more efficiently absorbed (300-500% better

absorption)

• Blending in 755nm Alex allows for a reduction in the deeper

penetrating 1064nm Nd:YAG – a more comfortable treatment for your

patient

Page 3: Why Multiplex (MPX)?

MPX for leg veins - considerations

• Skin types I-III

• Always do a test spot

• 755nm Alex FIRST followed by 1064nm Nd:YAG

• Integrated chiller on high (cool packs optional)

• 7mm spot size for optimal penetration

• 20-25J/cm2 of Alex and 40-60J/cm2 of YAG

• Pulse width 20-40ms
