roo DEEP. If the pins on the drawer

    sides

    go

to o far into the SOCketson the

drawer front, the sockets are to o deep, see

middle photo on right. To correct this,

move the template out (toward you) by

turning the stop nuts on the studs counter

    clockwise.

    Be

sure to adjust, the nuts on

    both ends of the jig.)

Note: You may want the pins to be

recessed from the ends ofthe sockets about

.o t. This helps when sanding the joints

    flush later. (See T i p s page 23.)

roo SHA/..WW. If the pins don't go far

enough into the sockets, move the tem

plate in (away from you) by turning the

    stop nuts cloekwise.

OFFSET.After the joints are cut and

tapped together, sometimes the top edge

of the draw. Iront doesn't align with the

top edge of U,e side, see third photo.

If both the top and bottom edges.are off

set equa l amounts, there could be a couple

of things wrong. FiJost the edges o f both

pieces have to be light against the stop

block. There might be some sawdust b e-

tween t.he workpiece and the stop block.

Second, the offset on the stop blockmay

    not be exactly

    V a

    If it's a little more

    than that, you might

    try

    adding a layer or

    two

    of

    masking

    tape

    to the finger on the

    stop block.

Note: The end of the stop block should

be centered on the first notch of the tem

plate, see Step 4 on page 20. If it's not, the

    top edges of the two pieces willbe a l i g n e d

but the joint won't be symmetrical on the

    top and bottom

    e d g e s .

    OTHER PROBL.ThfS. M,ost other prob

lems are usually caused by the pieces no

being clamped down in the jig so they are
