In these instances, it is recommended that bicycle manufacturers confirm the bottom bracket system performance with individual frame configurations.

Things that should be considered when evaluating the frame and bottom bracket interaction include, but are not limited to:• Loosening of the adapter cups from the bottom

bracket shell (frame material choice can greatly affect friction coefficient).

• Binding of bearings within the bottom bracket.
