WHY TREAT COMPRESSED AIRA compressor takes in atmospheric air that is loaded with moisture, dirt, dust

fibers and bacteria. Due to constant use, wear & tear, most compressors deliver

large amounts of oil fumes along with compressed air. The hot air delivered by a

compressor carries contaminants which cause corrosion, excessive wear,

malfunction and ultimately failure of your compressed air components, tools and

system. To assure a reliable and efficient operation of a plant, these

contaminants must be removed.

The air loaded with moisture,particles and oil is

purified by means of filtration and drying.

FundamentalsRegeneration - Heatless

Loading time after each load situation

tB = 3 - 5 min. Adsorption of moisture

on external desiccant surface.

Regeneration without heat supply instead with a partial

flow (typically 15%) of already dried and expanded

compressed air in the counter current direction.

FundamentalsRegeneration - Heated

Loading time after each load set-up

tB = 4 - 8 h. Adsorption of moisture on

external surfaces and internal pores

of desiccant beads.

Regeneration with externally heated air in order to

evaporate the moisture that is accumulated deep in the

pores. The regeneration medium carrys the moisture out

from the desiccant & is exhausted out of the plant room.

approx. 60°C,

to avoid a heat and
