Introduction:

Thankyouforbooking‘IT’SSHOWTIME’foryourschool.Ishallbeincontactwithyouwellin

advanceofthedatestodiscussyoursongchoicesforthe8participatingclassesandtoarrange

theschedulingofthe½hourworksessions,dressrehearsalandeveningconcertforthe

parents.

Fromthemp3songfilesIwillsendtoyouandthelyricsfoundinthisguide,Iknowyour

teachers/programleaderswillmatchuptherightsongswiththeclasses.Studentsshouldbe

encouragedtolearntosingasmuchoftheirsongaspossibleand/ortoperformthesuggested

activities.Feelfreetoimprovise.Theintentofthisprogramistomakeitafunandenriching

performanceexperiencewhichstudentssharetogetherwithmeonstagefortheirfamilies.

OnceIarriveinthemorningofthefirstdayandhavesetupmyequipmentonyourstage,the

classeswillvisitwithmeindividuallytorehearseandfine-tunetheirsongs.FortheconcertI

shallprovideallofthemusicalaccompanimentandwherenecessary,singalongwiththe

students.Ifthechildrenhavepreparedtheirsongswell,weusuallyhavesometimeleftto

exploresome‘worldinstruments’thatIbringalong.Thisalsoallowsstudentstoget

comfortableandfamiliarwiththeirmusicshowhost.

Forscheduling,Iproposehaving6rehearsalsessionsonthefirstdayandtheremaining2

sessionsbeforelunchonthesecondday.Thedressrehearsalcantakeplaceanytimeinthe

afternoon,whereotherclassesareinvitedtobeintheaudience.Theeveningconcertcantake

placeanytimeafter6PM.Thedurationoftheconcertisgenerally45–50minutes.Iverymuch
