Would you like to donate a Bible?

We have been blessed by the Hand of God again this year with 68 adults and children in our RCIA and RCIC here at St. Peter Parish

Each year at the Rite of Acceptance and Welcoming, the parish gives each in the RCIA/RCIC process a Bible as a gift. During this rite, to be celebrated on December 16th, those in the process express their in-tention to respond to God’s call to follow the way of Christ. The Bible is given to assist them with God’s call.

Would you like to give a donation towards purchasing a Bible to give to one of our inquirers? The cost of each Bible is $30.00. If you would like to donate one, please make the check payable to St. Peter Parish with a notation for an RCIA Bible. You may place it in the collection, or drop it off at the Rectory or Ministry Center. You can also mail it to: Ruth Prats, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, LA 70433.

Thank you for your generosity!

“Keep this book of the law on your lips. Recite it by day and by night that you may observe carefully all that is written in it; then you will successfully attain your goal.” Joshua 1:8

Thank you for your generous response to the World Mission Sunday collection. These missionaries provide essential education and health care, social outreach and advocacy, and pastoral service. They address basic human needs, while in every moment offering spiritual comfort and support to the suffering and the marginalized. Learn more by downloading the Mission App.

The Vocation Committee of St. Peter Parish invites all women of the parish to commit to offer the graces of their Eucharist on every first Sunday of each month. All women are invited to embrace a life of spiritual motherhood by praying for an increase in religious vocations and by making a commitment to intercede both prayerfully and through mortifications for the holiness of existing vocations. Next Sunday, November 4th, is the first Sunday of the month. May all women of the parish prayerfully consider this offering of graces.

Rosary Sign-up for The Holy Souls in Purgatory

Would you or your family like to sign-up to pray a rosary for “The Holy Souls in Purgatory”?

All parishioners are invited to pray a rosary for the Souls in Purgatory as often as possible during the year. This rosary may be said for your dear departed family members, friends, or anyone, even those unknown to you, whom you wish to include in this Act of Charity. The St. Peter Parish Homebound Prayer Warrior Ministry

The Homebound Prayer Warriors are committed to praying a daily Hail Mary for specific monthly parish intentions. This ministry strives to remind others by example of the Scripture verse in 1 John 5:14: “And we have this confidence in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”

The following is the prayer intention for the month of November

All Deceased Members of St. Peter Parish

Thanks to all our homebound for the gift of their prayer for our parish community.

Please continue to keep all those who are homebound in your prayers.

The second collection next weekend, November 3rd & 4th, is for our Maintenance and Building Fund. Money collected will be used to fund various repair projects in our parish.

Check it Out! Our St. Peter Parish Library is filled with a broad variety of spiritual books that are designed to bring us closer to God. Available works include books, CD’s and DVD's on Sacred Scripture, lives of the saints and devotional tools. The Library is located in the Ministry Center and is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The inventory listing can be viewed on the par-ish website www.stpeterparish.com under the Faith & Formation heading, then click on St. Peter Parish Library.
