Walmart began using this approach for their experience duringChristmas 2010 with just two categories that weren’t evenholiday-specific.

For 2011, they tied it directly to their holiday design andfeatured a small electronics section on the home page thatlisted starting pricing.

The next year in 2012, the major retailer subtly used it on theirholiday category tiles in the “Video game Value Bundles”section by noting that product pricing would start “from $30”.

Then Walmart decided to use this tactic more by applying it toa larger section in 2013. Notice the festive presentation thatcalls out the $68 Nextbook.

Last year, Walmart went all out with this tactic by using it in ahuge gift categories section on the homepage (we’ve onlyshown half). They stick to general “starting from” categorypricing and percentage discounts (“Save up to 50%”).Contrasting red circles also help emphasize the info more:
