“A new command I give you:
Love one another.”
“It was just before the Passover Feast. Jesus
knew that the time had come for him to leave
this world and go to the Father.
Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his
love. The evening meal was being served, and the devil had already
prompted…
…Judas Iscariot, son of Simon, to betray Jesus.
Jesus knew that the Father had put all things
under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning
to God;
so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped
a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a
basin…
…and began to wash his disciples' feet,
drying them with the towel that was wrapped
around him.”
“Your attitude should be the same as that of
Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider
equality with God something to be
grasped, but made…
…himself nothing, taking the very nature
of a servant, being made in human
likeness. And being found in appearance as
a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death…
…even death on a cross! Therefore God
exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is
above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should
…bow, in heaven and on earth and under the
earth, and every tongue confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the
Father.”
“He took up the nature of a servant because that was His essential nature as God.”
“He loved the to the end…”
“He loved them by SERVING them!
“I am here to be served by everyone and become someone great.”
“I am here to serve and give my life for others?”
Your Philosophy of Life?
“He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, "Lord, are you going to
wash my feet?" Jesus replied, "You do not realize now what I
am doing, but later you will…
…understand." "No," said Peter, "you shall never wash my feet."
Jesus answered, "Unless I wash you, you have no part with me."
“Then, Lord," Simon Peter replied,
"not just my feet but my hands and my head
as well!" Jesus answered, "A person who has had a bath
needs only to wash his feet; his whole body is
clean.
And you are clean, though not every one of you." For he knew
who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not
every one was clean.”
"No," said Peter, "you shall never
wash my feet."

you, and learn of me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye
shall find rest unto your souls. For my
yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have
enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than
clothing?
Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father
feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?
Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? “And why worry about your
clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and
how they grow.
They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they
are. And if God cares so wonderfully for
wildflowers that are here…
and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will
certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? “So don’t worry about these
things, saying, ‘What will we eat?
What will we drink? What will we wear?’
These things dominate the thoughts of
unbelievers, but your heavenly Father
already knows all your needs.
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything
you need.”

John 3:5
“Man’s humility does not begin with the
giving of service; it begins with the readiness to
receive it…”
William Temple wrote…
“After washing their feet, he put on his robe again and sat down and
asked, “Do youunderstand what I was
doing?
You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am.
And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have
washed your feet, you ought to wash each
other’s feet.
I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you.
Now that you know these things, God will
bless you for doing them.”
“If you know these things, blessed are
you if you do them.”
“If you know these things,
