January is an excellent time of year to take stock of your situation and to set yourself career goals for the year ahead. If you are not currently fixed up, here are a few pointers to get on track with your career aims.

03 Local colleges and training providers regularly run sessions to tell young people about their courses. Get in touch and we can email these out to you as they are announced.

05 There are lots of opportunities to get experience and skills whilst searching for the right opportunity. Come and talk to us about short programmes, voluntary work and work experience, which can make you more attractive to future employers.
STRENGTHEN YOUR CV
02 Not sure if yours is up to scratch? Come see an adviser at one of our outreach venues. They can help you to put a CV together or give your existing CV the once over and suggest any improvements.
HAVE A GOOD QUALITY CV WRITTEN AND READY TO ADAPT TO EACH JOB YOU APPLY FOR
04 We can offer you help and advice about how best to present yourself at interviews. We can arrange a ‘mock’ practice interview and give you some feedback about your strengths and identify areas you could improve.
POLISH UP YOUR INTERVIEWING SKILLS
06 Register with sites like the Apprenticeship website. Let us know what you are looking for and a Personal Adviser can email you vacancies and opportunities relating to your job interests.
