1500 people on the ‘‘Darwin Teens of The 70’s & 80’s’’facebook group would like to thank Mr Forday for a beinga wonderful part of our childhood memories...we can stillsing all the words of that jingle, both verses, even whenwe don’t want to! We were the kids that were part of theexcitement when he brought Humphrey to Darwin. Weskated on skates we won in the TV comps from the late70’s, and loved Christmas time visits to the store. Ourthoughts are with the Forday family in this time of loss.

Taken suddenly March 25, 2012,aged 60 years.

Sorrow fills our hearts this sad moment,a sorrow that is deep and personal. Hehas silently closed the door of life anddeparted from us. Our lives will be emptyin the areas that he had brightened for us.

Sahardi will be remembered for hisdedication and hard work in mentoringthe youth at Fordimail Student Hosteland in surrounding communities inbringing out their best and was alwayswilling to share his ideas and informat-ion. Many of us found him to be apassionate, humourous and caring per-son who had a vision for a better futurefor young Aboriginal people.

Sahardi will be missed greatly and oursorrow is lessened only slightly with thecomforting thought that we had theprivilege to know him.
