When and Where the person was born:

London,England April 3,1934

Early Life:Jane’s parents encouraged her love of animals. Her father gave her a stuffed animal chimp when she was a baby she carried it everywhere with her.Animals fascinated her from the start.She moved to Bournemouth England. Favorite book was Tarzan, and that’s what made her dream of going to africa.Her friend invited her to visit in Kenya. Jane couldn't afford to go so she waitressed to get the money to visit.

Education:

Took free classes after high school studied at Cambridge University. Received her PhD degree from Cambridge.

Adult life/Career:

1971 became a teacher at Stanford University in California.Jane divorced in 1974.She fell in love with another man named Derek Bryceson.Became a secretary in London. Became a mother on March 4 gave birth to a baby boy.

Published her own book called the Shadow of a Man it described her work in Gombe.It became the best seller. Made her own institute called the Jane Goodall institute.Became an expert. Was on the cover of National Geographics. Appeared in television shows.

Impact on the World:

Won many awards for her work,these honors have come from countries such as Tanzania,Japan,France,and the United States.Inspired young women to be scientists.United Nations chose Jane to be one of the messengers of peace.
