2. Its general form is a2 = b2 + c2

3. It specifies the relation between the hypotenuse and other sides of a right angle triangle.

Sample Question

Answer: The Pythagoras Theorem

1. The first mathematician to use this constant to represent a ratio in a circle was William Jones, who used it in his work Synopsis Palmariorum Matheseos; or, a New Introduction to the Mathematics, of 1706.

2. The value of this ratio has an infinite number of digits in its decimal representation.

3. This mathematical constant is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter.

Question 1

Answer: Pi ( )p

1. Military, vernier bevels, circular, optical bevel, semicircular are some types of this instrument.

2. It is usually square or circular, typically made up of transparent plastic, and has degrees notched on them.

3. It is used to measure angles in a 2-dimensional plane

Question 2

Answer: Protractor

1. It is a flat shape consisting of straight lines that are joined to form a closed chain or circuit.

2. It is basically classified based on its convexity, concavity or self-intersecting, and based on the number of line segments that join to make the chain.

3. Triangle, Quadrilateral, Pentagon and Hexagon are some types of this.

Question 3

Answer: Polygon

1. It represents a part of a whole

2. It can also be written by using decimals, percent signs, or negative exponents

3. It is basically of 3 types proper, improper and mixed.

Question 4

Answer: Fraction

1. It is a quantity that expresses the extent of a two-dimensional surface in the plane.

2. There are several well-known formulas for finding this quantity of simple shapes such as triangles, rectangles, and circles.

3. The unit of this quantity is measured in square of the unit.

Question 5

Ans. Area

3. It is the set of points which are all the same distance from a given point in a 3-dimensional space.

2. The Earth was earlier thought to be of this shape.

1. The volume of this 3-D shape is

And the surface area is
