Empire Line History

• Empire Line (Hudson Line)– Origins of this line trace back to the Troy

and Greenbush Railroad which was chartered in 1845

– Part of former New York Central’s infamous “Water Level Route” from New York to Chicago

• 28 trains per day • 2011 Ridership over

• Week 3: Prep bridges and load flat cars on work train for Track 2 install
