Weekly Readings

At the beginning of each year, we begin a new Prayer List. Please pray for the sick in our parish and let us know to add anyone to the Prayer List via stmarkrc@bellsouth.net or 980-1810 ext.1.

The Quarterly Mass of Remembrance is in the Chapel at 6 P.M. on Wed., Feb. 3rd, at 6:00 P.M. Please join us for this special opportunity to remember your love one.

OUTREACH TO THE NEEDY

When Saint Mark’s Parish began in 1999, we also began an outreach to the poor and needy in Greene County. This county is one of the poorest in the United States and is served by the Catholic Center of Concern.

GREENE COUNTY MONTHLY FOOD DRIVE provides items parish volunteers deliver for the Guadalupe Sisters to distribute.

CHRISTMAS ANGEL TREE offers 100 families with a Christmas dinner, gifts for their children and aid with the utility bills.

GREENE COUNTY SUMMER MISSION each June working with other parishes arranges to rehab trailers and homes in Greene County that the Sisters have selected. ***We are seeking a volunteer to help coordinate those who will be providing the lunches during the Mission week June 6-10, 2016. Different parishes and groups provide the food and serve it, but we need a COORDINATOR. If interested or want more information contact Sr. Terry at stmarkpa@bellsouth.net or 205-980-1810 ext. 3.

Mass of Remembrance

An Exceptional Day for Saint Mark Parish

You are invited to two very special events at Saint Mark’s on January 30, 2016.

Mass celebrated by Bishop Emeritus David Foley and visiting Diocesan clergy at 4:00 P.M.

FREE musical entertainment by international musician, composer and storyteller Jesse Manibusan. Family and friends welcome.

We offer these faith building programs to enrich our parish and the future of the Catholic Church – our youth. Please support our cause by attending.
