Wide range of attendees: training and education organisations, voluntary sector organisations, public sector orgs
OutcomesMapping of services for young people
carried out, shared and published onlineNew networks madeBarriers to youth employment exploredGaps in services explored Agreed to seek support from business
sector
Key findings It was clear that attendees were not aware of the range of
services that are being provided by different organisations Need to encourage and support young people with
entrepreneurial skills Need to recognise the value of volunteering by young people Need to inform parents & carers of school age children about
career choices Challenge businesses and support businesses to step up and
provide opportunities Need greater access to work experience, apprenticeships,
career advice We should recognise those businesses that do provide
opportunities and help young people
