Spectra I.S. Holds Event at Carolina Cat

The Caterpillar 120M motorgrader equipped with the3-D machine control system was operated by manycontractors during the day.

Explaining how Trimble’s SPS Rover system operatesto Shaun Lackey (C) of Lackey Excavating, Statesville,N.C., are Jeff Hamm (L) of Spectra I.S. and ElwynMcLachlan of Trimble.

The Caterpillar D6K XL is outfitted withTrimble’s automated blade control, whichallows operators to move dirt more efficiently.

Spectra I.S. held a demonstration day May 19 atthe Carolina CAT facility in Statesville, N.C.Approximately 65 area contractors attended

the event to learn about the latest technology offeredby Trimble through Spectra I.S.

The Caterpillar 279C trackloader equipped with the LevelBest grading box and lasersystem levels the demo area.
