Good morning P4A, P4B and P4/3! We hope you are ready to have a go at your tasks for

today.

These are the suggested learning activities for today. Your child can work through these at

their own pace at a time which suits your family circumstances. If a task or home learning

becomes stressful, it’s okay to take a break or do something else, such as play a game or go

for a walk outside. Contact for now is via admin@blackhall.edin.sch.uk should you need to get

Other Suggested Activities for Today: You should now have your login details to your Microsoft

teams account. We would like you to have a go at logging into your account and then replying to a

message that has been uploaded by your teacher. By replying to a comment, we will know that you

have managed to login and begin to use the different functions on teams successfully.

Microsoft teams is a different way of working so please don’t worry if you find it tricky to begin

with, we will support you all the way.

Spicy – Choose and answer 6 questions neatly in your jotter.

1) Mary likes to collect coins.

Mary got 207 coins from her

brother and 129 coins from

her mum. However, Mary lost

172 coins before she managed

to put them into her

piggybank. How many coins

does Mary put in her

piggybank?

2) Benny wants 456 cupcakes

for his party. Benny has

already made 143 fudge

cupcakes and 91 cherry

cupcakes. How many more

cupcakes does Benny need to

3) Peter had 339 tiger stickers.

Peter gave 179 stickers to

John and 33 stickers to his

sister. How many stickers

does Peter still have?

4) Mike wants some different

coloured plates for his

birthday. Mike wants to get

108 black plates, 132 yellow

plates, and some green plates.

5) Amelie has lots of parcels to

deliver in Edinburgh. She has

96 parcels to deliver in

Blackhall, 192 parcels to

deliver in Leith and 265

parcels to deliver in Dalry.

Amelie has already delivered

73 parcels – how many more

does she have to deliver?

6) On Monday Danielle swam 121

lengths and on Tuesday she

swam 129 lengths. Her

swimming coach asks her to

swim a total of 500 lengths

each week. How many lengths

does she still need to swim?
