Puppies They are lively and

lovable. The high-spirited and

active puppy has a big, generous heart and a

desire to please. They are good for outdoor activities such as

hunting, swimming, and just playing around.

CatsCats are the most popular

pets in the world. There are over 500 million domestic cats in the world. Cats and

humans have been associated nearly 10000 years. Cats have flexible

bodies and teeth adapted for hunting animals such as

mice and rats.

Lions Lions are the 2nd largest cat species in the world. The roar of a lion can be heard from 8 kilometers

away. Lions are very social compared to other cat species, often living in

prides that feature females, offspring and few adult

males.

Frogs A frog is an amphibian. They lay their eggs in

water. The egg hatch into a tadpole which lives in

water until it metamorphoses into an adult frog. They can live

on water and land. Instead of drinking water

they soak in into there skin.

Elephant Elephants are the largest

land living mammals in the world. An elephant can use

its tusk to dig for ground water. Elephants have large, thin ears. Elephants had no natural predators.They can swim, they use there trunk to breath out of the water.

Tiger The tiger is the biggest

species of the cat family. Around half of tiger cubs

don’t live beyond two years of age. Tigers are

good swimmers and can swim up to 6 kilometres.

Hamster Hamsters were first found in Syria. They live all over the world. Hamsters hoard their food. They stuff there mouths full and then spit

out the and hide some of it for later. Hamsters can catch

a cold from a human.

Monkey

There are currently 264 know monkey species. Apes are not monkeys.

Some monkeys live on the ground, others live in trees. Most monkeys haves tails.

RabbitA female rabbit is called a

doe. A male is called a buck. A young rabbit is called a kit. More than half of the

world’s rabbits live in North America. Rabbits have long ears which can be as long os

10 cm. Rabbits eat plants.
