Why should you receive it?

What happens during the Anointing of the Sick?
A reading from the Bible usually about Jesus healing sick people.
You also need to know about the following:
Anointed on the forehead and on the hands with chrism.
For strength and healing.
For forgiveness of sin.
If dying = final communion. This is called viaticum, which means ‘food for the journey”.
Prayers for the patient and those who care for the sick. The priest may lay his hands on the sick person silence, a symbol of the descent of the Holy Spirit, to comfort and strengthen.
