National Conference on 'Impact of FDI on Agro-Food Sector' (NCIFDIA-2014) will be held at Aggarwal College Ballabgarh on February 07 - 08, 2014. It is an inter-disciplinary conference that will unite academicians, scholars and researchers to meet and exchange latest ideas and discuss related issues.

Sixty years of economic planning has certainly ushered Indian Economy into a developing and self-reliant one. In this saga of success, agriculture has played a very dominant and complementary role. For a billion plus economy like India, availability and quality of food will always play a crucial role in achieving socio-economic justice. Agro-Food Sector can bring a revolutionary change in Indian economy in two ways. First, it will provide adequate nourished food at affordable price to masses and secondly, its development will generate employment and income and surplus in agriculture sector can be a sustainable source of foreign exchange. The need of the hour is to make this development inclusive. Higher productivity and better quality require both capital and technology. Foreign Direct Investment can play a supplementary role in it. A developed food sector will give a boost to foreign exchange reserve through sustainable growth in exports. The conference will expect the researchers to elaborate how development in food sector can contribute in achieving socio-economic justice through inclusive growth.

Along with an excellent academic ambience, Aggarwal College Ballabgarh, established in 1971 is affiliated to M.D. University, Rohtak. With a strength of about 5000 (Regular and Distance learners) it lays emphasis on quality education through various teaching aids, excellent faculty and interactive sessions for overall development of the students. From time to time, in addition to carrying out related curriculum activities, the college organizes workshops, seminars and conferences for the benefits of different sections of

society. The college is situated in Ballabgarh (Dist. Faridabad) Tigaon Road, 35 Km. from New Delhi on Delhi-Agra Highway (NH-2) and is connected with both road and rail. Local trains and buses ply to Ballabgarh on Delhi-Agra route at regular intervals. The temperature remains pleasant during the month of February.

The conference will have both invited and contributed papers. Full papers (not more than 4000 words) and abstracts (not more than 100 words) are invited and may be submitted to Organizing Secretary through Email at ncifdia2014@gmail.com. The authors may kindly send the papers in MS Word format. All submissions to the conference will be reviewed by an independent peer committee. Best Paper Award will be given on Valedictory function of the Conference.

All authors of the manuscript have to register themselves separately. The Registration fee covers the cost of conference kit, publication fee and lunch & refreshment. The prescribed registration form duly filled in should be sent to the Organizing Secretary along with DD in favour of 'Principal Aggarwal College Ballabgarh' payable at Ballabgarh.
