6. I will use the Scriptures below to help deter-
mine my attitude toward God, His Word, and
His Will in my life concerning possessions.
Matt 6:19-24 "Do not store up for yourselves
treasures on earth, where moth and rust de-
stroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
20 But store up for yourselves treasures in
heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy,
and where thieves do not break in and steal.
21 For where your treasure is, there your
heart will be also. 22."The eye is the lamp of
the body. If your eyes are good, your whole
body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes
are bad, your whole body will be full of dark-
ness. If then the light within you is darkness,
how great is that darkness! 24"No one can
serve two masters. Either he will hate the
one and love the other, or will be devoted to
the one and despise the other. You cannot
serve both God and Money.
7. So in the first three verses, what examples do
I see in myself and other people when it
comes to storing up treasures?

Let’s Discuss This… #1 Read Jeremiah 6:16 “Thus says the Lord: “Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls.” 1. Did you grow up with this kind of discipline? 2. What were the “ancient paths” for your family? 3. How might you do this now that you are growing in
your commitment to Christ?

9. In verse 22 the scripture speak of the eye. What
does it say? Again, we must focus on the _______
of God. When we do our ____________ will be full
of light. Jesus is light.
10. Verse 24- who are the two masters in this con-
text?
Luke 18:18-23 The Rich Young Ruler A certain
ruler asked him, "Good teacher, what must I do to
inherit eternal life?" 19 "Why do you call me
good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except
God alone. 20 You know the commandments: 'Do
not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal,
do not give false testimony, honor your father and
mother." 21 "All these I have kept since I was a
boy," he said. 22 When Jesus heard this, he said
to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell everything
you have and give to the poor, and you will have
treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." 23
When he heard this, he became very sad, be-
cause he was a man of great wealth.
11. Why did the ruler become sad?

Watch for more details in the future for this book to be introduced in a 9 week study format at TLCC. It’s called the Financial Peace University led by Kyle Dignan and Trish Vessar. This study has done more to unleash TLCC members from the slavery of debt than any other event/study/program ever utilized.

Let’s Discuss This… #2
You’ve heard the question: “Which came first the chicken or the egg?” Here’s another one, “Which came first the decision to give or the heartfelt pas-
sion to invest?
Our Mission (How we perform our purpose)
Let’s Discuss This… #3 1. When was the last time you “bought-in” to a major
life concept or invest? 2. Did it work out the way you planned? 3. When was the last time the way you think about
money changed? 4. What caused that change?
Or is stewardship the study of God’s per-spective on how things are done in His kingdom? How you view stewardship will profoundly effect your faith and daily walk with Christ.
Is stewardship the pro-cess through which the Church gets in your pocket?
