With Artsy, gallery owners, artists, and viewers can connect to each other in a whole new way. Owners are able to feature artists on the main home page, edit artist information, order inventory through artists, connect with other gallery owners, and manage special orders. Artists can upload new work, are available to customers for easier communication, and can expand their network with other galleries. Viewers can gallery art work at anytime, message artists, and buy work. It lets them be a part of gallery both in and out of it.

Artsy means quicker inventory/special orders placement, less hassle/missed communication, and faster results. It’s seeing art through different perspectives.

A quote that I like very much comes close to explaining my attitude about taking photographs: “Chinese poetry rarely trespasses beyond the bounds of actuality… the great Chinese poets accept the world exactly as they find it in all its terms and with profound simplicity… they seldom talk about one thing in terms of another; but are able enough and sure enough as artists to make the ultimately exact terms become the beautiful terms.”

ARTISTS

After tapping ‘edit’, owners are able to select what they would like to change. They can manage artists, upload new work, edit personal information, connect with a variety of galleries, e-mail artists, and keep tabs on their stock. This way, art stays up to date just as artists make it.

FEATUREDARTISTSIf artists become featured on a gallery’s page, they’re able to get their work out much faster and often than if a viewer would have to go through the list of artists. It gives them more incentive to get more enticing work to the gallery.

Once ‘edit’ is tapped, artists have the option of editing cur-rent work or their bio. They can create new collections, offer work not available in the gallery, give contact information, and keep their artist statement consistent. Because of this, viewers can keep up with their most updated work.

YOUR PROFILE

Installations of Mullican’s work often feature grids of his drawings hung side by side on makeshift walls in tightly packed rooms or corridors. These are spaces in which it seems possible to lose oneself, which, in a sense, the artist has done to create them. The predicate of his experiences under hypnosis is an ageless, genderless figure he calls “that person.” As he emerges in the work, “that person” busies himself with everyday routines but has his eye on the big issue.
