As a Jew, Jenna's worldview is a religion called Judaism. Judaism is over 3500 years old and has approximately 15 million followers worldwide. It is one of the oldest religions on earth, and was started by the Biblical m an Moses when he gave them the law God revealed to him. Jenna believes that the God who created the world established a covenant (a binding agreement - sort of like a contract) with the Jewish people. She believes God revealed his laws and commandments to the Jews in what they call the Torah - which is the same as the first five books of the Bible (Genesis-Deuteronomy). Jenna is devoted to studying and obeying the laws and commandments written in the these books.
JENNA THE JEW
Jenna believes that Judaism is
the one true religion because
God personally spoke to Moses
and gave him the law and
commandments that people in
Judaism follow. Although there
are differences of opinions about
the exact way Judaism should be
followed, a leader in Judaism
known as "Rambam" (who lived
over 1000 years ago) summed
up Judaism in 13 beliefs:
About Judiasm
•God exists
•God is one and unique
•God doesn’t have a body
•God is eternal
•Prayer is to be directed to God alone
•The words of the prophets are true
•Moses was the greatest prophet, his
prophecies are true
•The Torah was given to Moses
•There will be no other Torah
•God knows the Thoughts and deeds
of Men
About Judiasm
•God will reward the good and
punish the wicked
•The messiah will come (Jesus is
not the messiah, just a good man
and a prophet
•The dead will be ressurected
About Judaism
Jenna believes
in the same God
of the universe
that Christians
do - the One
revealed in the
Bible as
Yahweh.
About God
Jenna does
not believe
in the Trinity
revealed in
the Bible.
About the Trinity
Jenna
believes
Jesus was a
teacher and
nothing else
About Jesus
Jenna believes
only the Old
Testament is the
inspired word of
God, she rejects
the New
Testament as
the Word of
God.
About the Bible
Jenna believes that
there is an afterlife
where God rewards
the good people and
punishes the evil
people, but beyond
that she is not sure
how it all plays out.
There is definitely a
heaven, but she does
not view hell as a place
of eternal torment.
About the Afterlife
Jenna
believes
salvation is
achieved by
keeping the
Law of the
Torah.
About Salvation
•God identified Himself as "I Am"
(Exodus 20:2) - meaning He is the
self-existent (never had a beginning
or end) eternal Creator of the
universe.
What the bible really teaches about: God
•Deuteronomy 6:4: “Hear O
Israel, the Lord our God is
Echod – is one.
•It doesn’t say “Yahcid,” and it
doesn’t say that the Lord our
God is absolute one, unity – but
it says he is composite unity.
What the bible really teaches about: The Trinity
Unified One Echad One
The two shall become one flesh
Genesis 2:24
God is One Deuteronomy 6:4
One People Genesis 11:6; 34:16;
One Heart 2 Chronicles 30:12; Jeremiah 32:29
Two Objects becoming one
Ezekiel 37:17
Assembly as one Ezra 2:64
Numerical One Echad One

Ezekiel 48:31-34
There is yet one Prophet
1 Kings 22:8
One Man Alone Ezekiel 33:24 (Abraham)
One of the Angels Daniel 10:13 (Michael)
1. "He said, "Take now your son, your only [yachid] son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you." " Genesis 22:2
2. "He said, "Do not stretch out your hand against the lad, and do nothing to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only [yachid] son, from Me." " Genesis 22:12
3. "and said, "By Myself I have sworn, declares Yahweh, because you have done this thing and have not withheld your son, your only [yachid] son, " Genesis 22:16
4. "Now she was Jephthah’s one and only [yachid] child; besides her he had no son or daughter." Judges 11:34
5. "When I was a son to my father, Tender and the only son [yachid] in the sight of my mother, " Proverbs 4:3
6. "Mourn as for an only son [yachid]" Jeremiah 6:26
7. "And I will make it like a time of mourning for an only son [yachid]" Amos 8:10
8. "they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son [yachid]" Zechariah 12:10
•Proverbs 30:4 - Who has
ascended up into heaven, and
descended? Who has gathered
the wind in his fists? Who has
bound the waters in his
garment? Who has established
all the ends of the earth? What
is his name, and what is his
son`s name, if you know?
What the bible really teaches about: The Trinity
Psalm 2:1-2 - The kings of
the earth take a stand, And
the rulers take counsel
together, Against Yahweh,
and against his anointed,
saying, "Let us break their
bonds apart, And cast
away their cords from us."
What the bible really teaches about: Trinity
•In John 1:29-30 it says - The day after, John
sees Jesus coming to him and says, See here is
the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the
world! This is he of whom I said, one is coming
after me who is put over me because he was in
existence before me. When in fact, Jesus and
John were cousins and John was born THREE
MONTHS BEFORE JESUS!
•Before time, Jesus existed as the eternal son of
God - The bible says in John 8:58 - When Jesus
was questioned by the Jews about their father
Abraham, Jesus said before Abraham, I AM!
When Abraham existed over 2500 years before
Christ came into time.
What the bible really teaches about: Jesus
•The bible says in Colossians 1:13 and following
that in the Son of God we have our Salvation,
the forgiveness of sins and that this Son in
verse 15 he was in Existence before all living
things, in verse 16 he made all things in heaven
and on earth and verse 17 he is before All
things and in him all things have being.
•Notice the wording of Genesis 1:26 “Let us”
create man in “Our” image. It was Jesus
speaking the creation into existence.
•John 1:1 says in the beginning was the word
and the word was with God and the word was
God. The word was not only WITH GOD, but
the word WAS GOD!
What the bible really teaches about:
How is the word of God a separate person from himself some ask? The bible says in Genesis 3:8 - And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. How can a voice walk? It’s because Jesus is the word of God as a person walking, talking, and living!
John 17:5 - And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. Jesus cries out to God the father, “Give me this Glory that I had as the King of Kings, sitting at your right hand, before the world began… Give me back this glory I had with you before I emptied myself!”
Jesus, as God the Son, new a perfect sacrifice would have to be made, Philippians 2:5-7 - Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, existing in the form of God, didn`t consider it robbery to be equal with God, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. Being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross.
Mathew 1:23 - Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Immanuel; which is, being interpreted, God with us.
Isaiah wrote about seeing Jehovah in Isaiah 6:1-10 and In John 12:35-50 we read about Isaiah seeing the glory of Jesus and speaking of Him.
In Colossians 2:9 - All the fullness of deity was in Jesus Christ;
Mathew 16:15-17 - He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not manifest this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
1 John 1:1 - That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we saw, and our hands touched, concerning the Word of life and the life was made manifest, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifest to us); that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us. Yes and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1:18-20 - knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, the blood of Christ; who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was manifest at the end of times for your sake
Ephesians 1:20-22 which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly [places], far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.
Ephesians 4:4-6 - There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all.
Acts 5:3-4 - But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land? While you kept it, didn`t it remain your own? After it was sold, wasn`t it in your power? How is it that you have conceived this thing in your heart? You haven`t lied to men, but to God."
Genesis 1:1-2 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep. God`s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters. God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.
2 Corinthians 13:14 - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all
Mathew 28:18-19 - Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

(1) What constitutes the legal grounds for being a Jew?
(2) Is there a difference between a cultural Jew and a legal Jew?
(3) I.E., Could one become a Jew by observing the laws and customs of Judaism, e.g. wearing a yarmulke, eating kosher food, observing Hanukah, etc.?
(4) What is the legal standing of proselytes in Judaism?
(5) To be a Jew, does one need to have his name entered in the temple registry (a kind of Department of Vital Statistics) along with a half shekel of silver? Exodus 30:11-16, 38:25, 26;
(6) To be a Jew, does one need to have a genealogical proof of a direct lineage from Abraham? Numbers 1:1-20, chapters 2-4, 1 Chronicles 9:1 (chapters 1-9);
(7) To be a Jew, does one need to have sacrifices performed on his behalf by full-blooded Levitical ministers? Ezra 2:63, 64, (chapter 2) Ezra 8:1, Nehemiah 7:64, 65 (chapter 7);
Jenna does not like to be stereotyped with others from her religion, so ask a ton of questions to learn where she is coming from like: Does she attend synagogue? What happens at Passover? Why doesn't she offer sacrifices today? How does God overlook her sin since the destruction
of the temple? What does she believe about the coming of Messiah? How will she recognize him when he comes?
Jenna has been raised with little knowledge about Jesus Christ, so when you feel it could be appropriate, talk about how Jesus literally and perfectly fulfilled over 300 prophecies made about the coming Messiah. Ask Jenna to read Isaiah 53 and ask her who she believes that Bible passage is describing. Here is a link that goes through all the prophecies:
Whenever possible, use Scripture to answer Jenna's questions. If you get asked something you don't know the answer to, ask Jenna for some time and then do some research.
Your main goal is not to persuade Jenna that Jesus is the Messiah - it is a means to an end, and that end is that she needs to see that she fails to keep God's Law. It is not good enough for her to do her best; God requires perfection, so you need to get Jenna to the point where she knows that God will not overlook her failures or forgive her on the basis of their mitzvot (good deeds). Show her that God requires the shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sin (Leviticus 17:11; cf. 16:15-17, 27, 30), which was why the Messiah (Jesus) came to earth 2000 years ago
