The SAP Mobile Inclusive Banking Solution runs Upaisa, which won “Best Bank-Led Mobile Money Programme” at the 2013 Mobile Money Global Awards. Together, on-the-go banking was created for more than 17,000 customers in 210 cities through more than 15,000 agents. This solution has also expanded UBank’s B2B portfolio by servicing mobile network operators, consumer product, and retail companies.

In Pakistan, 63% of the population has a mobile device, but only 10% of people have bank accounts. Without accounts, convenient and inexpensive access to basic bill payments, remittances, and savings is absent. Pakistan’s U Microfinance Bank (Ubank) has created Upaisa, a solution enabling anyone in the country to safely and conveniently bank from a cellphone.

NEN’s Involute Automation has developed a job skills training arm called the Institute of Technical Training (IITT). With mentorship and guidance from SAP senior executives,IITT overcome growth challenges to quickly scale its operations and training network. SAP helped IITT train 38 mentors, who have trained 72 entrepreneurs across India.

Emerging entrepreneurs play a vital role in driving economic growth, addressing society’s needs, and creating jobs. India’s National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) inspires, educates, and supports entrepreneurs by providing mentorship, knowledge, skill-building, and critical access to capital and technology.

To prepare Japan's future generation for success, SAP has introduced Design Thinking to elementary students in Tokyo.

Junior Achievement (JA) is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. Junior Achievement's Student City in Japan is an experiential hands-on program dedicated to educating students in Japan about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.

NuoMi Shanghai, a design collective of Brown Rice Designs, is a social enterprise that trains and employs orphans, homeless, and disabled individuals through fashion.

SAP created Young ICT Explorers with the University of Queensland, and collaborates with the University of New South Wales, Swinburne University of Technology, and Australian National University.

Young ICT Explorers is a competition in Australia that challenges students to imagine the diverse possibilities of technology, and to capture their creativity through IT projects. The competition’s alignment with school curriculum applies classroom learning to real-world issues. Students present projects ranging from apps to games to robots for a panel of academia, industry partners, and ICT professionals, which selects the most unique, high-potential projects.

During Typhoon Haiyan, SAP partnered with select organizations such as Mercy Relief as well as the Philippines’ primary telecommunications companies, Globe, Smart, and Sun. These partners composed a strong set of lifelines for critical resource distribution ranging from rescue and relief, to mobile communication.

In November 2013, one of the strongest typhoons in recorded history struck the Philippines following one of the country’s largest recorded earthquakes. In a nation of more than 7,000 islands, short- and long-term recovery requires trusted organizations that are well-positioned to distribute critical resources and help communities heal.

In order to manage public services, MCGM uses SAP enterprise resource planning and human capital management solutions to prevent and respond to disasters, manage waste, issue and process licenses and contracts, and beyond. MCGM is one of SAP’s largest public installations worldwide.

Mumbai, India is one of the world’s most populated urban regions. The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) manages resources that serve the public and provide safety and services to its citizens, from one data center to 350 field offices.

For a decade, SAP has donated capital and technology as well as software support to strengthen Hope and serve more children. Through SAP’s deepening service, Hope can maintain a single information source to effectively manage donor and participant data across its many programs.

The Hope Foundation works to help restore basic human rights to children who reside in the streets and slums of India. By partnering with local voluntary organizations and providing staff training, guidance, and expertise, Hope activates an empowering network and mobilizes more than 60 programs.
