February 27, 2015 3 day Training programme on 'Soft Skills, Teaching Pedagogy and Administrative Aspects' successfully ended
A three day training program on “Soft Skills, Teaching Pedagogy and Administrative
Aspects” successfully ended today. This training program was conducted by Apparel
Training & design Centre (ATDC), India’s largest vocational training network in
apparel sector at ATDC Centre Bangalore.
The 3 days of Training included One day training on Teaching Pedagogy and
Administrative Aspects and 2 days training on Soft Skills. The participants for this
training included the ATDC’s Principals/ Centre in-Charges, Faculty and Adjunct
Faculty Resources. In this training the participants were made aware of ATDC
framework and had topics on Teaching Methodology, Education Technology, Digital
Content Utilizations, Communication Skills, Stress Management, Motivation and
Team Building.
The training sessions on “Teaching Pedagogy” at ATDC Bangalore was taken by Mr.
R. Nagarajan, Principal, ATDC Tirupur. The Soft Skills training will be conducted by
Expert Mr. R Manoj Kumar, Senior Trainer from Career Strokes, Chennai.Mr. R
Manoj Kumar currently associated with Careerstrokes.com as Training Consultant
and has more than 7 years training experience on Soft Skills and has effectively
conducted various training sessions on Soft Skills and Business Communication
across the country. He has trained over 11,000 trainees across many industries like
Hospital, in Retail majors, in Apparel chains and in manufacturing units. In addition to
teaching pedagogy a short session on “Administrative Aspects” will be conducted by
an external expert Mr. Purshottam, covering topics like Noting, Drafting of official
documents, Forms of Letters, Record Maintenance and importance of following
proper office procedures.
This training is the part of the Training Calendar for the year 2014-2015, approved
during the 45th meeting of BOG which was held on 19th September, 2013 at ATDC-
NHO, Gurgaon. Such type of training programs and workshops for the faculty

members of ATDC are conducted under TOT (Training of the Trainers). ATDC TOT
Academy is an institution which operates as a resource centre setting benchmarks
and overall quality parameters for those in the business of skilling in the apparel
sector. TOT Academy upgrades the knowledge base and skill levels of the faculty
resources to develop industry oriented approach in their pedagogy. The key
objective of the Academy is to bring about an overall systematic change in the
Apparel Industry while providing better quality trainers for industry. With this vision
this training program was organized) which will provide new insights in achieving
higher efficiency & productivity. The training provided a great learning forum to the
participants.
