Topic 1: silk varieties

It can be generally classified as mulberry silk and wild silk. Both of them are wildly used today.

Mulberry silk

Raised in captivity under exacting conditions

Silkworm Cocoon is bright white

Mulberry silkRaw silk is long and thin, delicate and white surface, feel smooth and flexible

Highest quality, can be used to make luxurious products(if the price is too low, it is probablyNot made of 100% mulberry silk)

Wild silk

Raised in wild condition,

Silkworm Cocoon is Puce or grey

Wild silkRaw silk is short and thick, pale yellow color, feel rough, but has better permeability, needs bleaching process before use
