• Newspapers and reporters are supposed to provide their readers with:

• objective (this means free from prejudice caused by personal feelings),

• unbiased

• reliable information.

BIAS AND IDEOLOGY

•To convey information fairly means letting the facts speak for themselves.

• Journalists know that the choice of a word or phrase can change the context of a news story.

• bias does occur a lot — often unconsciously by the journalist .

Consider the following sentences
