DARING NEW LIMITS FOR POLYCARBONATE

When the international architect firm Selgascano had to implement their daring façade coverage, no standard supplier was capable to satisfy their requirements.

Ultimately it was the Italian firm, Giplast-Polipiu Plast of Milan, that was capable to fulfill their extreme design. Digiplastics is proud to support the promotion of Giplast-Polipiu Plast. El Batel, Cartagena Spain auditorium and convention center

PMMA colored extruded tubes

The main hall is constructed on the exterior like a concrete box clad, with PMMA tubes that gives it a scored, horizontal texture. These tubes, which recall the facade of the J. wax headquarter by F.L.Wright, are also used to construct the luminous pergolas of the terraces on the top floor.

Custom made extrusion shapes

...Natural light inundate the space Through a double facade of transparent Metacrilate slats, with fine colored lines injected during their extrusion...

Shading PC sheets

The majority of the facade and interior surfaces are finished with extruded methacrylate or polycarbonate slats whose sections were carefully designed by the architects.
