The “Bengani” Family Legend

Shri. Chandan Mal Bengani, who was awarded a Golden Kada by Maharaja Umed Singh and given the princely privilege to wear it on his ankle, was then the proud owner of this massive Haveli. He was a businessman and a pioneer in jute industry. Bengani’s were one of the richest and popular families in Ladnun.

The LocationChandan Nivas is located in Ladnun (Nagaur District),Rajasthan. Ladnun is the city of Jain temples and one of the most visited pilgrim places of Jain community after Shri Mahaveerji. It is famous for Jain Vishva Bharati University, Jain temples of exquisite marble work, Old Dargah of Omarshah Peer and other old temples of religious and architectural importance. This city is also famous as the birthplace of sacred Jain Muni Aacharya Tulsi.

Introducing the Haveli“Chandan Nivas” takes its name from the doyen of the Bengani family. It

boasts of its royal history, rich heritage and intricate architecture. The Haveli stands tall in the city of Ladnun grabbing the attention of many.
