The expected demand for cheese should boost sales of cheese in Algeria over the years futures. Forward-looking studies, announced a 10% increase in sales in terms of value at constant prices of 2014, during the forecast period.

The challenges to growth result in unexpected increases in production costs, the costs of raw materials such as milk powder, and the removal of existing subsidies enjoyed by the local industry.

Import costs continue to restrict the share of premium cheeses, such as unprocessed soft and hard cheese imported.
